Stove Top


  • 6-8 c
  • 2 tsp
    beef broth crystals (i like better than bouillon)
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    minced garlic
  • 2/3 c
    onion chopped
  • 2 c
    celery finely chopped
  • 1 lb
    carrots, bite size chunks
  • 2 c
    shredded cabbage
  • 6 medium
    potatoes bite size chunks
  • 1/3 c
    pearl barley
  • 1 small
    parsnip bite size chunks
  • 1/2 c
  • 3 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 8 oz
    tomato paste
  • 2 lb
    hamburger, cooked

How to Make Mom's Hamburger Goulash


  1. Put everything in a big pot.
  2. Heat until boiling then reduce heat to simmer and cook for at least 30 minutes before serving.
