- 6-8 cups water
- 2 teaspoons beef broth crystals (i like better than bouillon)
- 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
- 2/3 cup onion chopped
- 2 cups celery finely chopped
- 1 pound carrots, bite size chunks
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 6 medium potatoes bite size chunks
- 1/3 cup pearl barley
- 1 small parsnip bite size chunks
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 3 tablespoons worshtershire
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 8 ounces tomato paste
- 2 pounds hamburger, cooked
