Ingredients

  • 6-8 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons beef broth crystals (i like better than bouillon)
  • 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2/3 cup onion chopped
  • 2 cups celery finely chopped
  • 1 pound carrots, bite size chunks
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 6 medium potatoes bite size chunks
  • 1/3 cup pearl barley
  • 1 small parsnip bite size chunks
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons worshtershire
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 ounces tomato paste
  • 2 pounds hamburger, cooked

How To Make mom's hamburger goulash

  • Step 1
    Put everything in a big pot.
  • Step 2
    Heat until boiling then reduce heat to simmer and cook for at least 30 minutes before serving.
