My family loves this recipe. My mom used to make this when I was growing up and we loved it as kids. Now I get to pass it along, just love old fashioned passed down recipes such as this. Hope you all enjoy as much as we do!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds beef stew meat
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 32 ounces beef broth, low sodium
- 1 medium turnip, diced
- 1 medium rutabaga,diced
- 3 stalks celery, cut
- 4 - carrots, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans stewed tomatoes, 14 oz
- 2 - bay leaves
- 1 pound beef bones, optional
- 1 ounce worcestershire sauce
- 3 large potatoes, cubed
- 1 can corn, undrained 8 oz
- 1 can peas, undrained 8 oz
- 1 can green beans, undrained 8 oz
- 1 can baked beans, 8 oz
- 1 cup water
- - salt and pepper
How To Make beef soup

Step 1Brown beef in a (very) large stock pot. When well browned, add chopped onion & carmelize. Add minced garlic & cook for 1 minute.

Step 2Add beef broth and simmer 15 minutes.

Step 3Add turnip, rutabaga, celery, carrots, stewed tomatoes, bay leaves, beef bones (optional), potatoes & worcestershire sauce to pot and simmer 1 1/4 hours.

Step 4Add corn, peas, green beans, baked beans & water. Add salt & pepper to taste. Stir & simmer for 30 minutes.
