I got this recipe from a gal I work with. I love it. Use any flavor of tomatoes and any type of beans. Any type of ground meat works also. I am trying to cut salt so I use one can of no salt tomatoes and one seasoned with garlic. I like to use black beans and one can is the low/no salt variety. Also please serve with a dollop of sour cream and some Fritos.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning mix
  • 1 pkg
    ranch style dressing mix
  • 2 can(s)
    tomatoes, canned with juice
  • 2 can(s)
    beans
  • 1 medium
    chopped onion

How to Make Taco Soup

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown ground beef and onion in Dutch oven. Drain.
  2. Add taco seasoning and ranch dressing mix. Stir to combine.
  3. Add tomatoes and beans. Do not drain either before adding.
  4. Cook for approximately one hour.
