Spanish Bean Soup

For most people soup is really great on a cold winter day, for me it is great all year long.

  • 2 can(s)
    garbanzo beans
  • 3 slice
    bacon, cut in pieces
  • 1/2 slice
    round,ham steak, cut in pieces
  • 1
    link spanish chorizo, cut in pieces
  • 1 small
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2
    bell pepper, (any color) chopped
  • 3 clove
    garlic, chopped
  • 2 can(s)
    cans water ( use garbanzo bean cans)
  • 3 medium
    potatos, peeled and cubed

How to Make Spanish Bean Soup


  1. Sauté bacon, ham, chorizo, onion, pepper, and garlic in a large Dutch oven.
  2. Add beans, water and potato's.
  3. Simmer on medium-low for 1 hour. Stirring occasionally.
