There is a mexican restaurant we go to that serves soup with their meals. I tried to duplicate their bean soup & must say, I did a pretty good job of it! Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 can 15.5 oz. black beans
  • 1 can 15.5 oz. pinto beans
  • 4 cans water (i just filled one of the bean cans)
  • 3 - strips bacon
  • 2 teaspoons italian seasoning
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cilantro, dried
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons valentina extra hot salsa picante
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 - packet lipton onion soup mix
  • 2 teaspoons parsley flakes

How To Make mexican bean soup

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in the crock pot/slow cooker & cook on high for about 6 - 7 hours, stirring occasionaly.
