best ever black bean soup
I use Rotel mild tomatoes with chilies, and Johnsonville sweet sausage links.Test the spices one teaspoon at a time. This soup is delicious; my husband's favorite. I like to serve it with fritos.

- 2 cans black beans
- 1 can white hominy, drained
- 1 can tomatoes and chiles
- 1 can chicken broth
- 1/2 large green pepper, chopped
- 1/2 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 pound sweet italian sausage; 3 links broken up
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- - sour cream, chopped green onions, and cilantro
- 3 cloves minced garlic
How To Make best ever black bean soup

Step 1Saute Italian Sausage links that have been broken up, chopped onion, chopped green pepper, and 3 cloves of garlic, minced. Add tomatoes with chilies.

Step 2Puree one can of undrained black beans and add to sausage, add drained white hominy, and the other can of undrained black beans.

Step 3Add chicken broth, cumin,oregano, and chili powder. Simmer for about 15 minutes.

Step 4Serve soup with a dollop of sour cream, chopped green onions and cilantro. Good with taco chips
