Mark's Polish family recipes, he says this one is an old Christmas-time favorite served between courses. To me, this sounds like an almond flavor of rice pudding. So YUM.

  • 5 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 pound almonds, peeled, ground twice
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 1/2 cups cooked rice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup small seedless raisins
