Great soup when made with ground turkey if you are trying to watch what you eat.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb
    ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 large
    onion
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 small
    head of cabbage, chopped
  • 2 can(s)
    diced tomatoes(28 oz total)
  • 1 can(s)
    8oz tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and onion and cook, stirring, until ground beef is no longer pink and onion is tender.
    Add the garlic and continue cooking for 1 minute.
  2. Add the chopped cabbage, tomatoes, tomato sauce, pepper, and salt. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, or until cabbage is tender
