Our old work cafeteria made this soup and we all loved it

prep time 10 Min
cook time 2 Hr
method ---
yield 4 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 jar classico spaghetti sauce (basil flavor) note here that any jar spaghetti sauce will do nicely
  • 1 - polish kelbasa sausage round cut up into chunks
  • 1 can carrots
  • 1 can bean salad ( i use s&w which is a safeway brand because it doesn't have garbonzo beans which i dislike
  • 1 package either dry or fresh tortallini noodles . i use the cheese stuffed but the spinch stuffed is just as good.
  • 1 can beef broth
  • any veggie - leftovers work good in this , pea's , corn, etc

How To Make tortallini soup

  • Step 1
Drain the bean salad first. Then add all ingredients but the noodles in a crock pot and let it slow cook for a couple of hours. If in a hurry you can make this on the stove but its more flavorful in a crock pot. The Noodles should be added just before eating to save them from becoming soggy. I have also boiled them if dry tortallini in the beef broth and added them last.
  • Step 2
this makes several quarts of soup and should feed 4 nicely....I tweak this soup and add different types of sausage( garlic flavor, cheese, or turkey) also add lots of veggies they all work great...Have fun!!
