This soup is a favorite in my house ~ it not only warms you on a cold Winter's Day but, it's also quick and easy to make Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1-2 - green bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cans beef broth (14 oz)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (i use a 29 oz can of redpack)
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup white rice

How To Make stuffed green pepper soup

  • Step 1
    In a Dutch oven brown ground beef and drain
  • Step 2
    Add green peppers and onions
  • Step 3
    Cook covered for 4 minutes; stirring after 2 mins
  • Step 4
    Add beef broth, tomato sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice and salt Bring it to a boil.
  • Step 5
    Add rice and reduce heat.
  • Step 6
    Simmer covered for 30 to 40 minutes. Stir occasionally or until rice is tender. Enjoy :-)
