stacey's baked potato soup
This is a very easy, very hearty soup that everyone loves. if you like thick creamy potato soup, you will love this. My boyfriend calls it potato gravy!! I tend to use more of the spices as I like a little extra pizazz. Try it and see what you think....

Ingredients
- 5 pounds white potatoes. baked then diced into large chunks
- 1 large white onion. sauté in bacon grease
- 1/2 pound bacon. fried.
- 1/2 cup instant mashed potato flakes
- 32 ounces box chicken broth
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 box half & half. (4 cups)
- 1 box heavy cream (2 cups)
- 4 cups milk
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon sage
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
How To Make stacey's baked potato soup

Step 1In a large pot, combine all ingredients using about half of the bacon. Save the rest for garnish. Cook until bubbly then lower heat. Cook until it reached the desired thickness.

Step 2use bacon, shredded cheddar, chopped onions, chives and/ or sour cream for garnish.
