How To Make split pea soup

Step 1Combine all ingredients in a large pot.Bring to a boil and boil for twenty minutes.Turn down heat and simmer until peas are tender(about another 10-15 minutes.)Strain through a fine mesh sieve and reheat to boiling point.It is now ready to serve.
