this recipe was a comfort recipe from my sister. Whenever I was sick or feeling down she would make this quick dish for me. I t definitely is easy and requires few ingredients. Though it sounds strange it is yummy.

    handful spaghetti broken up
  • ·
    boiling salted water to cook spaghetti
  • 4-5 c
  • 1-2 c
    canned tomatoes broken up
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make spaghetti soup


  1. Cook spaghetti in boiling salt water as per instructions. 1 small handful unbroken. approx.Drain and return to pot.
  2. Cover spaghetti with milk by about 1". heat on med. heat. add salt and pepper.
  3. In separate pot heat tomatoes and add baking soda. Add this to the spaghetti, milk mix and heat. Do not boil. Adjust salt and pepper. Ready to serve. Great with fresh bread and buns.
