Slow Cooker Crock Pot

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb
    chicken thigh cut in bite sized pieces
  • 2 c
    cut okra
  • 1 c
    onion diced
  • 1/2 c
    diced green pepper
  • 1/2 lb
    andouille sausage sliced
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour
  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 3 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 can(s)
    diced tomato undrained
  • 1 c
    frozen shrimp
  • 1 1/2 c
    uncook white rice
  • 3 c
    chicken broth

How to Make slow cooker gumbo

Step-by-Step

  1. in frying pan combine flour and oil. cook stirring constantly on med heat 5 min reduce to low continue cooking and stirring 8-10 min until turns light red brown. add to slow cooker
  2. add all ingredients except shrimp, rice, and broth. cook low 8-9 hours
  3. add shrimp cook anouther 20 mins
  4. cook rice in broth
  5. serve gumbo over rice
