Slow Cooker Crock Pot


3/4 lb
chicken thigh cut in bite sized pieces
2 c
cut okra
1 c
onion diced
1/2 c
diced green pepper
1/2 lb
andouille sausage sliced
3 Tbsp
3 Tbsp
olive oil
3 clove
garlic, minced
1/4 tsp
cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp
black pepper
1 can(s)
diced tomato undrained
1 c
frozen shrimp
1 1/2 c
uncook white rice
3 c
chicken broth

How to Make slow cooker gumbo


  • 1in frying pan combine flour and oil. cook stirring constantly on med heat 5 min reduce to low continue cooking and stirring 8-10 min until turns light red brown. add to slow cooker
  • 2add all ingredients except shrimp, rice, and broth. cook low 8-9 hours
  • 3add shrimp cook anouther 20 mins
  • 4cook rice in broth
  • 5serve gumbo over rice
