Easy, inexpensive and tasty. Can be made with just egg whites or whole eggs depending on your preference/diet.

    bouilion cubes
  • 3
    whole eggs (or 4 whites)
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce, low sodium
  • 1
    scallion, sliced thin on an angle
  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch (optional)

How to Make Simple egg drop soup


  1. Bring water to a boil, add bouillion.
  2. In a seperate dish wisk eggs together. Slowly add egg mixture to boiling water while slowly stirring.
  3. *Optional: To thicken soup, mix 1 tblspn cornstarch with 1 tblspn cold water until starch dissolves. Lower heat under soup and slowly stir in cornstarch mixture. Return to a simmer and let cook for 1 more minute.
  4. Stir in soy sauce. Serve garnished with sliced scallion.
