Ingredients
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2/3 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons chicken stock base (4 envelopes herbox brand)
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon season salt
- 5 cups milk
- 1 1/2 cups dry sherry
- 2 cups shredded cheddar
- 2/3 cup toasted almonds
- 1/3 cup each: chopped green pepper, and pimiento
- 2/3 cup crisp cooked bacon

Step 1Cook onion in butter until soft but not brown. Blend in flour and seasonings. Gradually stir in milk. Cook until it boils and thickens. Stir in sherry and cheese. Heat until cheese melts. Serve hot with remaining as condiments.
