Ingredients
- 2-3 packages turkey kelbalsa, smoked or regular sliced about 1/2" thick
- to taste - garlic cloves or jarred - chopped
- 2-3 - celery stalks - thick sliced
- 1-2 box low - no sodium, fat free chicken broth
- 1 can large can, italian tomatoes with juice
- 1 -2 - carrots, thick sliced with skin
- 1-2 - potatoes - thick chunks with skin
- 1/4 -1/2 - red onion - chunks
- 1-2 cups - sliced cabbage
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- - other seasonings to taste
- - water if needed
How To Make sausage stew

Step 1Saute kelbalsa, garlic, celery and red onion in light olive oil until lightly browned in large pot or dutch oven. Add chicken broth, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots and spices and water if needed. Cover and cook on low for 45 min to 1 hr or when veggies are slightly tender. Turn off heat, add cabbage, cover again and let set until cabbage is slightly tender.
