Ingredients
- 2 packages garbanzo beans, dry
- 1 large chorizo
- 1/2 pound cooking ham, not sweet
- 1/2 - chopped onion
- 1/2 - chopped green pepper
- 3 - garlic cloves
- 1 - bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon all purpose seasoning with azafran(in your spice section)
- 2 - culantro leaves
- 2 - diced potatoe
- 1 small diced squash
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
How To Make potaje de garbanzo

Step 1soak the garbanzos for at least 4 hours

Step 2I use a pressure cooker, and pressure cook for 30 mins...however...you can slow cook longer, or just use 2 large cans of garbanzo in salt water.

Step 3in a saute pan, add olive oil...and all the ingredients ( minus the potatoes and squash) and saute...put in the pot of beans and add the potatoes and squash.. simmer for an hour,until all the flavors come together...mmmm, comfort food at it's best....
