This authentic Polish soup recipe was handed down to D. Wilson, in Ariz. from her great,great,grand parents who lived in Warsaw, Poland What a perfect and different way to use up left over Easter Eggs!! I received this recipe from a Polish friend in Chgo.about 10 years ago. I had lost it, and now it is found again. ... My Easter recipe # 1

Ingredients

  • 1 pound bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 3 - dozen hard boiled eggs, sliced
  • 1 pound polish sausage, sliced
  • 1 pound ham, cubed
  • - water

How To Make "easter egg" soup...use left-over easter eggs

  • Step 1
    Fry the bacon. Put everything into a large pot, and cover with warm water. Bring to a boil. Then simmer until the egg yolks are well dissolved. Serve with horseradish to suit your taste.
  • Step 2
    This can be converted to a crock pot recipe. Heat to a boil then simmer...away till done.
