I had an onion soup at a Japanese place back in "78"...which is funny because at that time I hated onions. I liked this soup a lot and have been craving it for a while...I think I got the recipe very close...I made it night before last and it was very good. I hope you like it too.

Ingredients
- 1 bunch green onions
- 1 medium white onion
- 2 boxes 48oz. chicken broth
- 1 jar minced garlic
How To Make plain old onion soup...

Step 1In small stock pot...pour in 2 boxes of chicken broth. Put on low heat...

Step 2Slice white onion very very thin. Add to broth.

Step 3Slice green onions maybe 1/4" down to white root...but use most. Add to broth.

Step 4Add maybe 1 heaping table spoon of garlic, salt and pepper to taste...simmer on low heat stirring occasionally for at least 30 mins.
