Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 pound italian sausage
- 1 1/2 cups fresh mushrooms chopped
- 1/2 cup red onion diced
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 15 ounces jar pizza sauce
- 2 cups water
- 8 ounces pepperoni chopped
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- grated parmesan or shredded mozzarella for serving
How To Make pizza soup

Step 1Place the oil in a large deep skillet. Add the Italian sausage and cook until no longer pink. Remove with slotted spoon and set aside. Add the mushrooms and onions cook until onions are softened. Add the garlic and cook 30 seconds.

Step 2Add the water, pizza sauce, pepperoni, tomatoes, sausage, sugar and Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.

Step 3Serve topped with Parmesan or Mozzarella cheese.
