oriental pork and spinach soup

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 pound spinach, cleaned and stemmed
  • 4 - garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 package noodle soup mix, dry
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 3/4 pound ground pork
  • 1 medium onion, minced

How To Make oriental pork and spinach soup

  • Step 1
    Saute garlic and onions in butter in a heavy soup kettle until golden; add broth and bring to boil.
  • Step 2
    Combine ground pork, pepper, cornstarch and soy sauce in bowl and form 3/4-inch balls.
  • Step 3
    Drop into boiling broth; cover and simmer 10 minutes until meatballs are no longer pink in center.
  • Step 4
    Add noodles and cook 2 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Add spinach; cover and simmer 1 minute, until barely wilted and serve.
