Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 lb
    spinach, cleaned and stemmed
  • 4
    garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 pkg
    noodle soup mix, dry
  • 3 c
    chicken broth
  • 3/4 lb
    ground pork
  • 1 medium
    onion, minced

How to Make Oriental Pork and Spinach Soup

Step-by-Step

  1. Saute garlic and onions in butter in a heavy soup kettle until golden; add broth and bring to boil.
  2. Combine ground pork, pepper, cornstarch and soy sauce in bowl and form 3/4-inch balls.
  3. Drop into boiling broth; cover and simmer 10 minutes until meatballs are no longer pink in center.
  4. Add noodles and cook 2 minutes.
  5. Add spinach; cover and simmer 1 minute, until barely wilted and serve.
