1 cup elbow macaroni
plum tomatoes slice
1/2 inch slice baguette
freshly ground pepper
kosher salt
celery stalk
1/4 c
all purpose flour
3 1/4 c
chicken broth
1 1/4 c
2% milk
6 oz
cheddar cheese
1/4 c
parmesan cheese
cooking spray

How to Make Mac N Cheese Soup


  • 1Position a rack in the upper third of the oven and preheat to 450. Cook macaroni as directed on pkg, drain and set aside.
  • 2Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray add slice plum tomatoes and slice baguette on it in single layer season with salt and pepper bake until baguette is golden brown about 7 minutes
  • 3Mince the shallots, carrot, celery in a food processor Mist a sauce pan and cook veggies until softened 4-5 minutes Add the flour and cook stirring for 2 minutes Gradually stir in broth bring to a boil and stir until thicken 6-7 minutes. Remove from heat
  • 4Add milk, cheeses and macaroni and stir until cheese melts. Season with pepper.
  • 5Top baguette with tomatoes than garnish the soup.
