I had a craving for cabbage rolls the other day but only half a head of cabbage. I rummaged through my cupboards to see what I could come up with to make cabbage roll soup. This mix of ingredients came out perfect. You could always add a little garlic or red pepper flakes if you want to add some zest to it but my family and I enjoyed it this way.

  • 32 oz
    beef broth
  • 24 oz
    tomato juice
  • 1/2
    head of cabbage cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 lb
    hamburger cooked and drained
  • 1 c
    uncooked rice
  • 1 tsp

How to Make Kim's Cabbage Roll Soup


  1. Mix together in a pot broth, juice burger and cabbage.
  2. Boil until cabbage begins to soften, approximately 20 minutes.
  3. Add rice and salt.
  4. Bring back to a boil and allow to simmer for approximately 20 minutes or until rice is done.
