Ingredients
- 2 pounds venison , cubed
- 4 cups water or beef broth
- 6 oz cans tomato paste
- 6 - carrots, cut into chunks
- 2 - onions, cut into chunks
- 2 cups chopped celery
- - oregano to taste
- - garlic powder to taste
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup oil
How To Make hunter's stew

Step 1In a large, heavy skillet, brown venison in oil until caramelized. Add water or broth and tomato paste. Simmer for 2 hours.

Step 2Add carrots, onions, celery, oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper, cook for about 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Thicken with flour and water to desired consistency.

Step 3Serve over biscuits, mashed potatoes, or noodles.
