This is another recipe I added to and changed a dozen times but finally settled on this.

Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh tomatoes ( diced)
- 1 medium carrot (shredded)
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- 2 stalks celery (diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (diced)
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/4 cup sugar
- TOPPING (OPTIONAL)
- - seasoned bread cubes
- - shredded cheddar cheese
How To Make homemade tomato soup( by linda)

Step 1Put the first 10 ingredients in large soup pot, cook on low till tomatoes are cooked down and the veggies are tender.

Step 2Transfer to blender, being very careful blend till smooth.

Step 3Pour back into soup pot add soda stir well then add chicken broth, and milk and heat.

Step 4When hot add the sugar and heat about 5 minutes longer till sugar is dissolved.

Step 5Add toppings and serve, Enjoy.
