Ingredients
- 2 cups ham, cooked and diced
- 1 cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 10 ounces okra, cut up
- 15 ounces tomatoes, canned
- 1 can chicken broth
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup rice, uncooked
How To Make ham skillet gumbo

Step 1Combine all ingredients except rice in a large, heavy skillet; bring to a boil.

Step 2Cover and simmer 10 minutes.

Step 3Stir in rice and simmer, covered, 20 minutes longer, or until rice is tender.

Step 4NOTE: May substitute cayenne pepper for black pepper.
