This recipe works with most kinds of ground meat. I have used burger, turkey, deer, and pork for this and so far it always comes out well. You can also add whatever veggies you want to it, I normally do mixed veggies or just corn depending on what I have.

Slow Cooker Crock Pot

Ingredients

  • 2 lb
    ground meat
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    oregano
  • 1/2 tsp
    basil
  • 4 tsp
    chicken base or boullion
  • 6 c
    boiling water
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 3 c
    frozen vegetables
  • 2 1/2 c
    rice
  • 1 can(s)
    stewed tomatoes

How to Make Ground Meat Crock-Pot Stew

Step-by-Step

  1. In a skillet brown the meat and then strain off the grease.
  2. Place all ingredients except rice in crock-pot and mix together.
  3. Turn crock-pot on low and cook for 2 to 4 hours.
  4. Place rice in crock-pot and turn it to high, continue to cook for 1 hour.
  5. Move temp to warm and enjoy.
