ground meat crock-pot stew

This recipe works with most kinds of ground meat. I have used burger, turkey, deer, and pork for this and so far it always comes out well. You can also add whatever veggies you want to it, I normally do mixed veggies or just corn depending on what I have.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground meat
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 4 teaspoons chicken base or boullion
  • 6 cups boiling water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 cups frozen vegetables
  • 2 1/2 cups rice
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes

How To Make ground meat crock-pot stew

  • Step 1
    In a skillet brown the meat and then strain off the grease.
  • Step 2
    Place all ingredients except rice in crock-pot and mix together.
  • Step 3
    Turn crock-pot on low and cook for 2 to 4 hours.
  • Step 4
    Place rice in crock-pot and turn it to high, continue to cook for 1 hour.
  • Step 5
    Move temp to warm and enjoy.
