potatoes, chopped
1 c
celery, chopped
1 c
carrots, chopped
1 c
onions, chopped
5 c
water
4
chicken bouillon cubes
2 can(s)
cream of chicken soup
1 lb
cheese spread (i prefer velveeta)

How to Make German Potato Cheese Soup

Step-by-Step

  • 1Add 5 cups of water to large sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Add bouillon cubes and wait for them to dissolve.
  • 2Add carrots, celery and onion to bouillon water. Cook 20 minutes.
  • 3Add potatoes. Cook 20 more minutes.
  • 4Add chicken soup and mix well. Add cheese (in pieces) and cook until cheese is melted. Serve with crumbled bacon on top.
