I love Olive Gardens Pasta e Fagioli so I wanted to duplicate it. I have been working on doing just that for years and I finally (I think) did it. You be the judge.

This dish was one of my late Mother-in-law's favorites.

  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 oz
    olive or vegetable oil
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 1 c
    julienned carrots
  • 1 c
    celery, chopped
  • 28 oz
    diced tomatoes
  • 8 oz
    red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 Tbsp
    beef bouillon
  • 1 Tbsp
    oregano leaves
  • 2 Tbsp
    parsley leaves
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    tabasco sause
  • 13 oz
    your favorite spaghetti sauce (i use newman's own sockarooni)
  • ·
    salt and pepper, to taste
  • ·
    garlic powder, to taste
  • 8 oz
    small pasta

How to Make Darn close to Olive Gardens Pasta e Fagioli


  1. Brown ground meat and chopped onion in oil.
  2. Prepare and add the remaining ingredients to the browned meat/onion mixture. Bring to a boil, add pasta. Simmer for one hour.
  3. Cooks note: adjust the amount of Tabasco to your taste.
