Slow Cooker Crock Pot


  • 16oz pkg
    dried green split pea's ; rinsed
  • 1
    ham bone or meaty ham hocks
  • 3 medium
    carrots ; peeled and sliced
  • 1 medium
    onion ; chopped
  • 2 stick
    celery + leaves ; chopped
  • 2 clove
    garlic ; minced
  • 1
    bay leaf
  • 1/4 c
    parsley ; chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    seasoned salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp
    fresh pepper
  • 1 1/2 qt
    hot water (6 cups)

How to Make Crockpot Split Pea Soup


  1. Layer ingredients in the crock pot ; pour in water ; DO NOT STIR.
  2. Cover and cook on HIGH setting 4-5 hours or on LOW setting for 8-10 hours ; until the peas are very soft and the meat falls off the bone.
  3. Remove bone and bay leaf before serving.
