This is the only way that I will make my pea soup anymore its really good , I serve it with hot corn bread ...yummy

Ingredients
- 16oz packages dried green split pea's ; rinsed
- 1 - ham bone or meaty ham hocks
- 3 medium carrots ; peeled and sliced
- 1 medium onion ; chopped
- 2 sticks celery + leaves ; chopped
- 2 cloves garlic ; minced
- 1 - bay leaf
- 1/4 cup parsley ; chopped
- 1 tablespoon seasoned salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh pepper
- 1 1/2 quarts hot water (6 cups)
How To Make crockpot split pea soup

Step 1Layer ingredients in the crock pot ; pour in water ; DO NOT STIR.

Step 2Cover and cook on HIGH setting 4-5 hours or on LOW setting for 8-10 hours ; until the peas are very soft and the meat falls off the bone.

Step 3Remove bone and bay leaf before serving.
