Ingredients
- - 2 cups potatoes, peeled and diced
- - 1/2 cup carrots, peeled and diced
- - 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- - 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- - 2 cups water
- - 1 1/2 teapoon salt
- - 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- - 1 cup cooked ham, cubed
- - 1/4 cup butter
- - 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- - 2 cups milk
- - 8 oz. pkg. shredded cheddar cheese
How To Make christmas eve soup

Step 1Combine veggies, water, salt and pepper in a large soup pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat; cover and simmer until veggies are tender.

Step 2Stir in ham; set aside.

Step 3In a separate saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add milk; bring to a boil.

Step 4Cook and stir for 2 minutes, until thickened. Stir in cheese until melted; add to veggie mixture and heat through.
