This is one of my Favorite's before I had to stop eating Spicy Food. This Gumbo is very Spicy so make sure you have alot to drink and a big fan of Spicy Food. I made this 3 year's ago a family member from my hometown New Orleans,La... Enjoy

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 4 cups unsalted chicken stock
  • 1/2 pound hot smoky sausage (like andouille)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup sliced okra (frozen is okay)
  • 1 medium onion. chopped
  • 3 sticks celery. chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic,minced or pressed
  • 1 ounce 14 1/2 oz can whole tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup spicy hot v8
  • 1/2 cup sliced scallion
  • 2 - bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
  • 3-5 dashes tabasco sauce or louisiana hot sauce (optional)

How To Make chicken gumbo

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 2 hours
