Ingredients

  • 1 quart milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 4 - onions, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • - salt and pepper

How To Make cheese and onion soup

  • Step 1
    Scald milk, melt butter and brown onions. Blend in flour, cook, stirring 1 minute. Remove from heat. Gradually add milk. Return to heat and boil 1 minute. Stir constantly. Add cheese, salt and pepper. Stir until cheese melts. Serves 4
