Husband & I go to wisconson every year a time or two.We love Brats this stew is so good you can do it in a crockpot.How good is that?

Ingredients

4 medium potatoes i like reds peeled &diced
2 small carrots sliced
2 sticks celery stalk
3/4 cup greenpepper chpped
2 pounds fresh brats remove casing
1 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon basil, dried
2 cups half
3 tablespoons water & 3 of water

How To Make bratwurst stew crockpot or stovetop

Step 1

In slow cooker combine veggies top with brats.Combine broth with basilpour over top .In crockpot.Cook low 7hrs. Make sure veggies are tender .Stir in half & half.Combine water and cornstarch until smooth, Stir in stew

Step 2

cover cook on high 30 minutes.
Step 3

If you have time on top of stove is great it takes about 1 hour or so to cook
