andrea's super bowl chili

Recipe by

I was visiting my niece a few years back and volunteered to help make dinner. Imagine my surprise when I sat down to eat and couldn't believe how absolutely delicious this is and yet so incredibly simple. I named it after my niece and now, it's our go to recipe for chili. It can be made anywhere from mild to spicy hot. We like the latter. I am typically a "From Scratch" cook but this.....MMM!

    ground beef
  • 1 lb
    bulk pork sausage*
  • 2-3 cans
    V 8 juice*
  • 16 oz
    chunky salsa*
  • 4 oz
    diced green chiles
  • 1 can
    pinto beans*
  • 3 Tbsp

How To Make andrea's super bowl chili

  • 1
Brown the ground beef and sausage in a skillet on the stove, breaking up as it cooks. I like it a bit finer so I place it in a food processor and pulse it for a few seconds after it's cooked.
  • 2
Place all ingredients in to the Crock Pot, stir and cook on low for 3 hours.
  • 3
Serve with Fritos, chopped onions, shredded cheddar cheese. If desired, avocado and sour cream.
  • 4
NOTES: *Depending upon how spicy you like your chili you can change out the Sausage, V8, Salsa and Pinto beans for their spicier versions. We always spice it up cuz that's how we like it in Texas. If you like your chili a little soupier add a 3rd can of V8.
