This was a regular for dinner on cold winter nights when I was growing up!

Ingredients

  • 1 can salmon
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 can corn
  • 2 cups milk
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • - fatback

How To Make salmon stew

  • Step 1
    Cut a generous piece of fatback.
  • Step 2
    Put fatback and diced potatoes in a little water.
  • Step 3
    Cook until potatoes are soft.
  • Step 4
    Add diced onions, tomatoes, salmon, corn, and butter.
  • Step 5
    Heat until butter melts.
  • Step 6
    Remove from heat and add milk.
