THIS HAS TAKEN THE PLACE OF CLAM CHOWDER AS MY FAVOERITE SOUP. I MAKE A MEAL OUT OF THIS DELISH SOUP ALONG WITH MY HOMEMADE HAWAIIAN SWEET ROLLS. I GIVE THIS ONE A 5 STAR MEAL RATING.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 - cloves of garlic minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 - 14-1/2 oz. can chicken broth
  • 1 cup raw diced potatos (peeled)
  • 1 cup shredded carrot
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1 - 14-3/4 oz. can of cream-style corn
  • 2 cups half-and-half cream
  • 1 - 14-3/4 oz. can salmon, drained, flaked, bones and skin removed

How To Make salmon and corn chowder

  • Step 1
    IN A DUTCH OVEN OR SOUP KETTLE, SAUTE ONION,CELERY,BELL PEPPER AND GARLIC IN BUTTER UNTIL ALL IS TENDER.
  • Step 2
    ADD BROTH, POTATOS, CARROTS,SALT,PEPPER AND DILL; BRING TO A BOIL. REDUCE HEAT; COVER AND SIMMER FOR 40 MINUTES.
  • Step 3
    STIR IN THE CORN, CREAM, AND SALMON. SIMMER 15 MINUTES LONGER.
