My mother would make these when she didn't have a lot of time to cook. It's a great warm chowder for a cool night.

Ingredients For easy clam-potato chowder

    hot water
  • 1
    4.9 oz pkg betty crocker au gratin potatoes
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    frozen corn kernels
  • 1 c
    frozen broccoli florets
  • 2-1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 sm
    onion, chopped
  • 2
    6-1/2 oz cans minced clams, undrained.

How To Make easy clam-potato chowder

    In lg heavy pot, heat water, potatoes and salt to boiling. Boil for 5 mins, drain.

    Stir in sauce mix and remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling over med-high heat, stirring occasionally.

    Reduce heat to med-low and simmer, uncovered for 5 mins, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender.
