mandarin oranges, sectioned and drained
2 Tbsp
vegetable oil
1/2 tsp
"just a pinch" of pepper
2 Tbsp
2 Tbsp
soy sauce
cooked rice

How to Make Asparagus And Shrimp Oriental


  • 1Shell, devein shrimp.
  • 2Drain and slice water chestnuts.
  • 3Arrange shrimp, chestnuts, mushrooms, onion, celery, asparagus and oranges on large tray.
  • 4Heat oil in wok or electric skillet.
  • 5Add onion, celery, salt, pepper and sugar.
  • 6Cook, stirring, until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  • 7Add asparagus and shrimp.
  • 8Place mushrooms and water chestnuts over shrimp.
  • 9Sprinkle with soy sauce.
  • 10Place orange sections on top.
  • 11Cover, cook until mixture begins to steam.
