Ingredients
- 7 1/2 ounces alaska salmon, canned
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- 1 - garlic clove, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup potatoes, diced
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 2 cups chicken broth, low salt
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- - pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup broccoli, chopped
- 13 ounces evaporated milk
- 10 ounces corn, thawed
- - parsley, minced
How To Make alaska salmon chowder

Step 1Drain and flake salmon, reserving liquid.

Step 2Saute onions, celery and garlic in butter.

Step 3Add potatoes, carrots, reserved salmon liquid, chicken broth and seasonings; Simmer, covered, 20 minutes, or until vegetables are nearly tender.

Step 4Add broccoli and cook 5 minutes. Add flaked salmon, evaporated milk and corn; heat thoroughly.

Step 5Sprinkle with minced parsley to serve.
