Wild Rice Soup

I have been making this ever since I tasted it at a friends house years ago. It's super easy and delicious. Even my picky kids eat it!

  •   3/4 c
    wild rice (raw)
  •   1/2 lb
    bacon, chopped into small pieces
  •   1 small
    onion, chopped
  •   1 can(s)
    cream of potato soup
  •   1 can(s)
    cream of chicken soup
  •   2 can(s)
    evaporated milk (13 oz cans)
  •   1 c
    shredded velveeta cheese

How To Make

    Following package directions, cook wild rice for approximately 45 minutes.

    Saute bacon and onion in a stockpot until onion is soft and bacon is cooked through (I like my bacon a bit crunchy).

    Add soups, evaporated milk, cheese and wild rice to bacon and onion mixture and mix thoroughly. Heat to desired temperature. If necessary, add water for desired consistency.
