unbelievable homemade potato soup
This will be the only potato soup you will ever make. It is so hearty and delicious. It takes a little time chopping all the veggies, but, soooooo worth it. My family devours it every time I make it. I usually make homemade rolls to go with it.

Ingredients
- 6 cups peeled and diced russet potatoes
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 medium carrots, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup flour
- 2 1/2 cups 2% milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- salt & pepper to taste
- real bacon bits and shredded cheddar for garnish
How To Make unbelievable homemade potato soup

Step 1In a large stockpot, combine chicken broth, and all vegetables, season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 2Bring to a boil, cover and cook on medium high for 15-20 minutes, till veggies are soft.

Step 3Meanwhile, while the veggies are cooking In a medium saucepot, melt butter over medium heat, add flour, whisking constantly, cook for about 30 seconds, slowly stir in milk, and cook till bubbly and thickened.

Step 4Once veggies are done, add milk mixture and stir. Add Heavy cream and combine as well.

Step 5Get your bowls and fill em' up
