Ingredients
- 1 - egg, beaten
- 1 cup soft bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cans 14.5 oz. beef broth
- 2 cans condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
- 4 - medium potatoes, cut into pieces
- 4 - medium carrots cut into small chunks

Step 1In a bowl combine egg, bread crumbs, chopped onion, salt, marjoram and thyme. Add beef and mix well. Shape into about 48 meatballs. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes till nicely browned, then drain off any grease.

Step 2In a Dutch oven mix the broth, soup, potatoes, carrots and bring to a boil. Add the meatballs, reduce heat then simmer for 30 minutes, or till vegetables are tender.

Step 3Serve with a crusty bread or garlic toast.
