Ingredients
- 6 - potatoes, peeled & cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 small onions, chopped
- 1 - carrot, pared & sliced
- 1 - celery stalk, sliced
- 2 teaspoons chicken base or granules
- 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
- 5 cups water or chicken broth/stock
- 1/3 cup butter/margarine
- 2 cans (12 oz) evaporated milk
How To Make potato soup - mw (crock pot)

Step 1Put all ingredients except milk in crock pot.

Step 2Cover and cook on low 10 to 12 hours (or High 3 to 4 hours).

Step 3Stir in evaporated milk during the last hour of cooking.

Step 4Before serving, you can puree soup using a blender, food processor or imersion blender, if desired, or you can leave it chunky.

Step 5Garnish with diced ham, shredded cheese and sliced green onions. The question is croutons . . . or no croutons??

Step 6Note: Feeling lazy? That's OK - take a 2 pound bag of frozen cubed hash browns and thaw before using in this recipe.
