Ingredients

  • 2 cups onion, chopped
  • 3 - carrots, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 large baking potatoes, chopped
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 3/4 pound polska kielbasa, chopped
  • 2 cups milk

How To Make polska kielbasa potato soup

  • Step 1
    In a dutch oven, saute onion and carrots in butter until onion is tender.
  • Step 2
    Add potatoes and broth.
  • Step 3
    Bring to a boil.
  • Step 4
    Reduce heat; simmer until vegetables are tender, about 25 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Remove from heat.
  • Step 6
    Puree at least half of mixture in blender (more blended makes creamier soup).
  • Step 7
    Return to saucepan.
  • Step 8
    Add milk and sausage.
  • Step 9
    Cook over low heat until sausage is heated through.
