Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds broccoli florets
- 1 - garlic clove, minced
- 1 large sweet onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1-2 large potatoes
- 1 quart chicken or beef broth
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 1 dash red pepper, crushed
- 1 cup half and half
- 1 dash ground nutmeg
- - bacon bits
- - broccoli florets, cooked
How To Make pinky's cream of broccoli soup & garlic

Step 1Saute onion and garlic in butter until the onions become transparent.

Step 2Add chopped potatoes, broccoli, broth, salt, pepper and red pepper.

Step 3Heat to boiling and simmer for about a half hour.

Step 4Pour the mixture (about one third at a time) into the blender and pulse six or seven times for each batch.

Step 5Place blended soup in crockpot and add half and half and nutmeg.

Step 6Heat on low for another half hour and then let sit until dinner.

Step 7Taste for seasoning; garnish with broccoli florets and bacon bits.
