My mom made potato soup a lot and I can never make it like she did. I have discovered a simple way to make it now. hope you like it as much as we do.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg
    frozen hash browns
  • 1 large
    onion, chopped fine
  • 1 can(s)
    evaporated milk (optional)
  • 1/2 qt
    milk
  • 1 c
    cheese, shredded
  • 1 c
    chicken broth
  • ·
    salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/2 stick
    butter, (1/2 stick to 1 whole stick)

How to Make Patsy's Potato Soup

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook frozen potatoes and onions in chicken broth until tender.
  2. Add milk and cook until very warm, add cheese and cook until melted
  3. I add 1/2 to 1 stick of butter because I like the flavor. add salt & pepper. sometimes I add sliced hot dogs for the kids. they love it.
