My mom made potato soup a lot and I can never make it like she did. I have discovered a simple way to make it now. hope you like it as much as we do.

Ingredients

1 package frozen hash browns
1 large onion, chopped fine
1 can evaporated milk (optional)
1/2 quart milk
1 cup cheese, shredded
1 cup chicken broth
- salt & pepper to taste
1/2 stick butter, (1/2 stick to 1 whole stick)

How To Make patsy's potato soup

Step 1

Cook frozen potatoes and onions in chicken broth until tender.

Step 2

Add milk and cook until very warm, add cheese and cook until melted
Step 3

I add 1/2 to 1 stick of butter because I like the flavor. add salt & pepper. sometimes I add sliced hot dogs for the kids. they love it.
